Since having Ottilie, I've learnt to embrace the mess! Babies and toddlers can learn so much through messy play, whether its food or paint. It can help activate their senses and help with brain development!

Charlie is a Graphic Designer and mum to 2 year old Ottilie, she also owns the fabulous Mill House in Hertford.

As if having your first baby isn't a challenge enough, when Charlie was made redundant while still on maternity leave last year she decided (with the support of her husband Ben) that they should take on an empty unit that had become available where they live on the Dicker Mill estate in Hertford and turn it into a great space for all the community to enjoy.

As a team, both Charlie and Ben worked every night (whilst Ottilie slept) transforming the run down warehouse space.

Over the last 18 months, the Mill House has turned into a thriving hub, offering local businesses and members of the community a unique and interesting space to hold health and well-being classes, photo shoots, parties, supper clubs, events and of course 6 Week Social meet ups, since they opened their doors back in September 2018.

Talk about mum bossing' it!

A real passion of Charlie's is the creative workshops which she runs in the space. From adult workshops to after-school art clubs and themed workshops for babies and toddlers.

She is rewarded daily seeing the children and parents being creative and enjoying themselves and if you have ever had the pleasure of meeting this lovely lady you can feel that shine through her straight away.

Charlie joins us for on our final session of the course hosting a 'crafty' close for mums and babies to relax and enjoy, as well as having a gorgeous keepsake to take home with you to remember this special time.
