As well as being the owner of 6 Week Social, I’m also a local motherhood and newborn photographer based around Hertfordshire. You might have heard Evie Grace Photography - www.eviegracephotos.com For over 14 years, I’ve captured and recorded hundreds of families’ special moments — and honestly, there is no better feeling.
For most people, you see beautiful photos. But for me, I see memories, feelings, and moments that you’d give anything to hold onto just a little bit longer.
Why do I love newborn photography so much? Because those early days… they are a blur. And I want families to be able to look back and have photos to reflect on, to remember, and to hold onto all those tiny details — the ones you’ll still want to remember when you’re 80.
The tiny stretches, the way your baby fits perfectly on your chest, the quiet moments where it’s just you and them… it all changes so quickly. And in the middle of feeding, broken sleep, and figuring everything out, it’s so easy for it to pass without really being seen.
That’s why these sessions matter.
Over the past two years of running my 6 Week Social courses, I’ve spent so much time with new mums in those early weeks. I hear the same things again and again — how fast it’s going, how much they wish they could pause time, how their baby already seems to have changed overnight.
Photos are the closest thing we get to pressing pause.
Not the perfectly posed, everything-has-to-be-just-right kind of photos — but the real ones. The way your baby curls into you. The way you look at them. The connection that’s already there, even when you’re tired and still finding your feet.
And here’s something I gently remind every mum…You deserve to be in the frame too.
